![]() “What’s this about?” I asked taking a sip of juice from my tumbler cup. I sat on the sofa, Matt on a chair and so did Mouse. “Lilo, I think we need to talk.” Mouse said, walking past me, Matt walked in as well. Mouse and Matt Dee were both standing there, serious looks spreading across their faces. Sleep is something I try and do when I’m bored but I never actually get to sleep.Īnother knock at my door woke me. I haven’t really been off from school/ work now in ages. God! I need to know! Why was he like that? Gahh! I flopped down on the sofa properly so I was lying down. Matt Dee smiled sympathetically then went to the door. I’m gonna go now and talk to Mouse before I tell anything.” I looked at him with puppy dog eyes begging him to tell me. “What?” I asked, bringing my knees to my chest. “Yeah they are just there sometimes.” Matt Dee looked kinda shocked and worried. If anything I know believed the people from high-school I was crazy. “Voices?” Matt asked, his tone unreadable. Matt’s one of those people who give off that vibe of caring. The moods and isolation started only just recently.” I spilled. “When did all this start?” Matt asked eventually, after taking a deep breath. When I was in my teens and at high-school I had occasionally heard voices in my head. ![]() These episodes are just getting frequent. ![]() Matt soothed me more until I had calmed down enough to be spoken too. “I don’t get it?” I asked out of desperation. “Hey Lilo, calm down.” Matt Dee comforted me, taking me in his arms. “I can’t believe this.” I felt the panic set in again, and I started to shake feeling my anger still boiling away inside me. Matt Dee didn’t seem taken a back from my outburst. “You have no right to tell me what to do!” I blurted. “If it carries on you do need to see a doctor.” Matt Dee advised. I couldn’t control it.” Matt nodded and shuffled in his seat. “I don’t normally open up to strangers but as you are a friend of Mouse’s then maybe I can.” Matt Dee urged me on and I took a seat back on the sofa. He told me what happened.” Matt turned around and looked at me, making me look at my feet. Boxes were still stacked around the place. He walked in and took in the mess that was my living room. “I know what you meant don’t worry.” I nodded and offered for Matt to enter. Matt Dee laughed, making my cheeks heat slightly, embarrassing. I couldn’t help it they just wouldn’t form a sentence that made sense. “My nice Lilo name.” The words didn’t come out right. Matt Dee was sweet, just from first meeting him. One of Mouse’s friends.” He smiled at me. The guy was taller than me, with black messy hair. “And you are?” I asked, coming out with more venom than intended. I raised an eyebrow, holding the door close to me. When I opened it I was greeted by not Dunno or Mouse as I expected but another life guard. Clicking the TV off, I pulled myself up to the door. As if on cue, there was a knock at the door. I longed for when Mouse or Dunno came, it’s lonely here. After my outburst this morning I felt better but not all the way there. Flicking through the TV channels, I found that daytime TV was extremely boring.
